The Crisis Line

Someone To Call When You Need It Most

Mental health crises happen all the time. Unfortunately, most people think there’s only one number to call: 911. While the emergency responders dispatched by a 911 call may be trained in mental health emergencies, their primary focus is on physical health.

If you want to get the support of an expert team of mental health professionals who will approach your situation with compassion, we’re here. Hollywood Addiction Center has established a 24/7 emergency crisis line so that you have someone to call when you need it most.

Unique 4-Tiered Support System

When you call, we use a four-tiered system. Our trained operators talk with you to determine which tier of care will best serve you.

Yellow

Low-risk, meaning the mental experiencing a mental health challenge doesn’t pose an immediate threat to themselves or others. In this case, our Hollywood Addiction Center team can help talk you through the situation.

Green

Mid-risk, meaning it’s unlikely the individual poses a threat to themselves or others. In many cases, our Hollywood Addiction Center operators can help these individuals. If not, they can connect the individual with a mental health crisis professional.

Blue

High-risk, or in need of consistent, meaningful mental health care. Our Hollywood Addiction Center team may connect the individual to one of our fast-response Talk Chime mental health professionals or emergency responders in the area.

Red

Extreme psychosis. Because these individuals can pose a threat to themselves and others, our team immediately loops in emergency responders (e.g. law enforcement) to get that person rapid help and to prevent the situation from escalating.
