Support Your Addiction Treatment

Hollywood Addiction Center Emergency Mental Health Response (EMHR) aims to make mental health services more widely available and easily accessible. That’s especially true for people with dual diagnoses. If you’re recovering from substance abuse — or are ready to start on your path to recovery — our Hollywood Addiction Center team and our team at our sister brand, Talk Chime, are here to supplement your addiction treatment with mental health services.

We also partner with people who have a loved one with a substance dependency. We can help equip you with the education material you need to understand dual diagnosis. Additionally, we connect you with local mental health professionals who treat substance abuse disorders, mental health disorders, or both.

If you or a loved one want or need support during substance abuse recovery, don’t hesitate to call our Hollywood Addiction Center team so we can direct you to the right support and resources for you.

Substance Abuse & Mental Health

Substance Abuse & Mental Health

While some substance abuse does take place on its own, the vast majority of individuals with substance dependency turn to their substance in an effort to self-medicate a mental health disorder. When a person is living with both a substance abuse disorder and a mental health disorder, the condition is called dual diagnosis.

When you’re living with a mental health condition, it’s common to feel like you don’t have control of your brain or are abnormal. Many people look to regain control or a sense of normalcy with substances. When the substance helps them feel better or simply numbs the mental discomfort that comes with mental health conditions, they often start to rely on it. Over time, this all too often develops into a substance abuse disorder.

The issue, then, is that treating substance dependency doesn’t address the underlying mental health condition that drove that individual to substance use in the first place. That’s where we come in. At Hollywood Addiction Center, we aim to make it easy for these individuals to get the mental health care they need to break the cycle of addiction and feel mentally well.

A key part of the way we do this is by connecting our members to telehealth mental health providers at Talk Chime. With our platform, you can get virtual mental health care from a professional who understands substance abuse. Whether you’re looking for a psychiatrist to diagnose your mental health condition, a substance abuse treatment center to help you detox, or a local doctor to support your journey with medical care, we can help you find them.

Our doctors aren’t confined to a specific specialty. Instead, they’re licensed in various fields so you have access to the right care for you.

Additionally, our Hollywood Addiction Center volunteers can help you find local groups to support your healing, like Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) or Narcotics Anonymous (NA). We can also help you coordinate any care as required by a court-ordered program.

For support in recovering from your substance abuse, don’t hesitate to contact EMHR today. Alternatively, you can sign up as a member to get started right away.
