The Resources
You Need
The bleak reality is that mass shootings happen on a near-daily basis across the country. Each time they do, they leave a traumatized group of individuals in their wake. If you’ve survived a mass shooting, you’ve probably seen and heard things that continue to burden you to this day.
We don’t say this to force you to relive your trauma. Instead, our team at Hollywood Addiction Center Emergency Mental Health Response (EMHR) strives to give you the resources and care you need to properly process that trauma so you can lead a healthy, balanced life.
Our team is trained in mass shooter response. If you ever find yourself in an active shooter situation, call 911, then call us. We can help you navigate the situation, protecting yourself and those around you.
Moving Past Trauma
When you survive a traumatic experience, it all too often takes its toll. Left unchecked, the pervasive effects of trauma can impact your physical health, mental health, relationships, ability to perform at your job, and more. As the name implies, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) often develops after a traumatic incident, especially if you don’t get dedicated mental health care afterward.
We want to help mass shooting survivors chart healthy, happy paths forward for themselves. At Hollywood Addiction Center, we aim to make it easy for you to get the mental health care you need to healthily process your trauma. With our network of care — including telehealth mental health care through our partner, Talk Chime — and resources, we hope to take the work out of getting the treatment you need to move past your traumatic experience.
